Ingredients of Peanut Jaggery Barfi
- It's of raw peanuts.
- It's of fresh/desiccated coconut.
- It's of jaggery powdered.
- Prepare of ghee.
- You need of mixed nuts powdered.
- It's of almonds sliced for garnishing.
- Prepare of pistachios sliced for garnishing.
Peanut Jaggery Barfi step by step
- Dry roast the peanuts and coconut on medium-Low heat for 5-7 minutes and take off heat.
- Grind peanuts,coconut into a fine powder.
- Melt ghee in a non stick pan over Low heat.
- Add the ground peanuts-coconut mix and sauté for 5-7 minutes on medium heat.
- Once the ghee seems to have been well blended with the mix, add the jaggery powder, mixed nuts and mix well.
- Cook on Low heat until the mix starts to leave the sides of the pan and the jaggery is well combined with the rest of the ingredients.
- Take off heat.
- Pour in the mix on a greased flat surface and garnish with sliced almonds and pistachios.
- Make cut marks while the mix is still warm so that it would be easy to separate the barfi pieces after it's set.
- Let cool and separate the pieces and store airtight.
